We often spot visions of culinary beauty while we’re out on the streets of Barcelona, and have been snapping evidence on our iPhones. We like the idea of posting some rough and ready pics and tips from our phones, so the information reaches you directly from where we are.
With the intention of giving an insider’s taste of Catalan culinary culture in situ, this section we’ll be posting off the cuff images from our mobile devices for you which are rough around the edges but authentic Catalunya. Enjoy!
We didn’t end up buying bacallà main dishes (cod, as pictured) from this stand, but instead some incredible homemade croquettes in two varieties: pernil ibéric (cured ham or jamón ibérico) and cod with bechamel (brandada de bacallà). They were exquisite…and pretty expensive: 9 euros for 12 croquettes.
